What is the usage of Object initializer

An object initialzer allows you to set the values of accessible properties or fields of an object at the same time as you construct it.

For example, consider this program:

using System;

class Person

{

public string Name {get; set;}

public int Age {get;set;}

public Person()

{

}

public override string ToString()

{

return String.Format("Name = {0}, Age = {1}", Name, Age);

}

class Program

{

static void Main()

{

// using constructor and then setting properties directly

Person p = new Person();

p.Name = "Fred";

p.Age = 30;

Console.WriteLine(p);

// using object initializer

Person q = new Person{Name = "George", Age = 40};

Console.WriteLine(q);

Console.ReadKey();

}

The output is:

Name = Fred, Age = 30

Name = George, Age = 40

Note that in an object initializer you can drop the () following the class name if the constructor takes no parameters.
