What is your opinion about ASP.NET Core right now?

Question

What is your opinion about this framework right now on the market, productivity, ecosystem etc. Worth to learn? I'm learning C# right now but i wanna know more about ASP.NET Core.

Hi Hintesh, I had been using ASP.Net Core since 2016. It is a well designed framework. ASP.Net Core has options to work with .Net Framework or .Net Core. But, Microsoft has decided to continue with .Net Core. The next version is .Net 5 that will incorporate many of the features of .Net Framework and essentially stopping further development in .Net Framework. Hence, it is not mandatory to learn .Net Core and ASP.Net Core going forward. Cheers, Jeevan

One of the main reasons for using .NETCore is that you can runit on multipleplatforms and architectures. So you can build an app that willrun on Windows, but also on Linux, macOS and on different architectures like x86 and ARM. This is perfect for lots of scenarios, including desktop applications.

a .Net dev, Microsoft seems to be putting all future development into core and we’re switching everything that we can to it. Would definitely learn it over old .net but it’s going to be very similar.
