My past boss was your role.
He design the architecture, and counting all costs in same duration. monthly, yearly etc.
Using technology from vendor A, it cost xxx USD.
Using technology from vendor B it cost total xxx USD. because of vendor B can not using some feature it cost feature X from software C and add additional cost yyy USD. total using vendor B + software C is xxx+yyyUSD
and doing comparation all vendors. which is faster, familiar for team. and give all answer for users.
