what's the use of serialisation in .net

can any body give me sample code for serialisation and explain where we will use commonly in .net thank's in advance

Hi, It is basically the process of converting the state of the object to a sequence of data (like xml) You can use a few serialization formatters: Binary SOAP Xml Syntax: XmlSerializer class or the [XmlSerializer] attribute Cheers.
