Where to store shopping cart data?

Accepted answer

Hello

I have faced same situation while ago :

There are many possibility based on your situation :

- Session / Cookie : if you have lage amount of data , that i suggest do not go for it

- Database : store cart item into database with tempid , bcoz if u have stored within database and you can easily retrive and process them

And identically define some duration , after that data should be deleted

Thanks

Hello

I mean to say if you have small scale or medium scale kind of application that session would be preferable

But if you working on large scale [more than 200+ tables]

Than it is tuff to manage cart data within session

What do you mean by a large amount of data? How much data do you expect?
