General:
1-Does the system provide the correct result?
2-Does the system provide al the functions & features expected?
3-Is it easy to learn & use?
4-Is the web site searchable?
5-If u close the form so its always give the msg that u really wants.(such like msgs)
6-Thanks, save, delete msg etc. (After submitting the form).
7-Refresh button must be in the form, for refresh all the action.
8-Search button must be present in home page & their related pages

         3. Check for broken links
   2. Flexibility
         1. Try varying window sizes
         2. Try varying font sizes
   3. Speed
         1. Access the site via a modem
         2. Check image size specifications
   4. Accessibility
         1. Test accessibility
         2. View in text browser
   5. Browser independence
         1. Try different browsers
         2. Check printed pages
         3. Switch Javascript off
         4. Switch plug-ins off
         5. Switch images off
   6. Other checks
         1. Check non-reliance on mailto
         2. Check no orphan pages
         3. Check sensible page titles

I agree. Very useful post Dharmendra. Most of developers and some testers are unaware of this.
Dharmendra, you should write an article on this.
Now that said, we need to apply these testing points while testing C# Corner :)

Functionality, Compatibility, Interface, Security, Performance and Usability.
navigation, clarity in communication of content, accessibility, consistency in presentation, design and maintenance, visual presentation of information.
10 Important things to Remember in GUI testing of Web application
Test the usage of Frames in the application
Test the Scrolling text for inconsistency
Test for existence of complex URLs embedded particularly dynamic pages
Make sure Orphan pages do not exist
Look for Long scrolling pages or forms of Input
Identify pages with No support for navigation
Check for usage of non standardized link colors
List out forms which contain Information which is no longer relevant
Identify forms which take long to download and recommend for optimization
Check Reports and capability to download or convert to standard formats of storage and retrieval

you are correct but i also want to share some others points...

1-Can the system work effectively for one user ten user or a more then
2-Does the Home Page Load quickly?
3-If u follow each instruction does the expected result occur?
4-Is there a link to home on every single page?
5-Are graphics optimized for quick downloads?
6-Are all referenced web sites or email addresses hyper linked?
7-Are fonts is see easily.
8-Is all text properly aligned.
9-Does each hyperlink work on each page?
10-Link must be shown by underline or other view
11-Link name should be similar in every place

Web testing is the name given to software testing that focuses on web applications. Complete testing of a web-based system before going live can help address issues before the system is revealed to the public.

Issues such as the security of the web application, the basic functionality of the site, its accessibility to handicapped users and fully able users, as well as readiness for expected traffic and number of users and the ability to survive a massive spike in user traffic, both of which are related to load testing.
