Why the name of control is not updated in their event handlers

Say a button control is drag/drop on a windows form, it's default name is :button1 Now i create event button1_click Suppose change the name of button1 to butt but name of event does not get changed to buu_click. Why?

One way to work around this is to implement the code after you name all your controls with descriptive names, which should become a habit anyway.

This is Microsoft Design. You need to dreat it manually. I think lots of people raised this issue and let's see if MS will change it in the new version 2005
