Please refer to these links so that you can choose the right anti-virus software for you. But again the point is the need depends on your usage of the system if your system is regularly exposed to unsafe hardware or internet on shared network then you should purchase a total security suite.

Thank you very much for your help.

While addressing my question it has created a problem. I use Norton anti-virus program. But it discourages that. And it recommend eSet NOD32. Also it recommend free anti-virus program. What is your experience?
