Windows Application setup upgrade when modification occurs

Hi,

Guys

I have one question about how to install windows application setup's update on client's System.

I have created one windows application in vs2010 and MS Access DB and I have created one setup file of this application but some installation is done on client's System and then after some modification done in DB and application and thats new updated setup I want to install on client's System so how to its do?

According to my point of view, you have 2 òptions to retain your data.

1.You can create a small program that copies all the data from your old db to new db then use your new db with updated application.

2. Create a script file of the newly modified table (added/deleted columns) then execute this script with only for the first run of your program.

But I have one question is that? :- in new setup I have added/deleted some field in Database table and then after I made new setup file including this new DB file and if client installed this new version then how to maintain some client's personal information in existing Database?
