  Thanks Stefan, I don't think I made myself very clear. The first app is an executable from some other third party it has a dialogue window, on it I want to press the OK buitton using a c# program. Heres the C++ code which makes no sense to me int nID = GetDlgCtrlID(hButton); HWND hParent = GetParent(hButton); if ( hParent ) PostMessage(hParent, WM_COMMAND, nID, hButton);

  Assume that you have two form instances: form1 and form2. In form2 you have the following: form1.Button1.Click += new EventHandler( form1_click ); Then, the form1_click(), declared in form2 handles the click event of Button1 on form1. Have in mind that Button1 must be at least internal in visibility, that breaks some encapsulation rules. A cleaner way to achieve this is to declare a method in form1 that is something like: internal void RegisterButton1ClickHangler( EventHandler h ) { Button1.Click += h; } and then in form2 you just call form2.RegisterButton1ClickHangler( new EventHandler( form1_click ) );
