Windows service doesnt run at regular intervals.

I think we have another option like a timer. Timers automatically run at regular time as you mention in interval.

Timertimer=newTimer();
timer.Tick+=newEventHandler(timer_Tick);//Everytimetimerticks,timer_Tickwillbecalled
timer.Interval=(10)*(1000);//Timerwilltickevery10seconds
timer.Enabled=true;//Enablethetimer
timer.Start();//Startthetimer
}
voidtimer_Tick(objectsender,EventArgse)
{
//MessageBox.Show("Tick");//Alerttheuser
inthours=DateTime.Now.Hour;
intminutes=DateTime.Now.Minute;
intseconds=DateTime.Now.Second;
intmilSeconds=DateTime.Now.Millisecond;
stringtimeString=hours+":"+minutes+":"+seconds+":"+milSeconds;
label1.Text=timeString;
}

Note: Your service always in running mode. If you service in closed then no timer works.
