Flicker in tandem like invisible stars
Radiance blitzkrieg in the darkest cubicle
Emanate in these mystic Diwali hours
Lights galore, lighting up lamps to give light
As hundreds create thousands this way
We, humans can in likeness, shine and fight
Darkness of ignorance, each and every day
Hail humans, let us tread the path to wisdom
And enlighten ourselves with soulful might
Let us be sensitive to those lacking freedom
And help each other in diverse dreams' flight.
Let us shine as lanterns in this moonless sky
Bring daylight of hope in despair and adversity
Let us try to cheer hearts that pitifully cry
And etch our names in history, for ETERNITY.
