Write only property in C#

A read-only property only has a 'get' and a write-only property only has a 'set'. Whilst the former are quite common, the latter are rare.

Here's a simple example which uses both:

int wo;

public int ReadOnlyProp

{

get { return ro; }

}

public int WriteOnlyProp

{

set { wo = value; }

}

public MyClass (int ro)

{

this.ro = ro;

}

public int Add()

{

return ro + wo;

}

class Test

static void Main()

{

MyClass mc = new MyClass(3);

mc.WriteOnlyProp = 5;

Console.WriteLine(mc.ReadOnlyProp); // 3

Console.WriteLine(mc.Add()); // 8

Console.ReadKey();
