XAMARIN QRCode read and database connection with SQL Server?

I am not an expert in Xamarin Platform, but to my knowledge, it gives you the ability to use pure C# .NET assemblies to build cross-platforms apps (including Android).
I am currently using Leadtools .NET assemblies to support reading barcodes in my .NET windows forms application, but I didn’t try it with Xamarin.
And to my knowledge, they have Android SDK as well for native barcode reading on devices. I started using their programming tools after reading the following tutorial:
