If somebody have commented on a post and wants to check whether the forum post has been answered correctly, then he can use this feature to see the result.... This will not only help the person to know the correct answer but can also forward the Thread if the post is unanswered for a longer time.

Shivanand, I am not sure if I understood your question correctly. If you post a question and somebody answers, you get an email about that. Are you not getting that email?

Mahesh, I think he asking about "Follow Up Posts" kind of functionality (or Favorites).. I can follow any thread till it got answered even though am not participating in that thread...
