About the Role
As Assistant Vice President, Ops Sourcing, you'll lead strategic sourcing projects for our clients, driving value savings and fostering innovation. You'll collaborate closely with client stakeholders to develop and execute sourcing strategies, optimize processes, and drive broader business change. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact while continuously expanding your intellectual firepower.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of strategic sourcing projects, focusing on total cost management, demand/specifications management, compliance, and innovation.
- Collaborate with client Senior Sourcing & Category teams to develop and enhance sourcing strategies, driving execution against category plans.
- Provide leadership and direction to a team of Sourcing Execution Analysts and cross-functional team members.
- Drive innovation by exploring and implementing best ideas from suppliers aligned with Genpact's Lean Digital agenda.
- Initiate and manage the development of creative sourcing solutions, advising on global policy and procedures.
- Monitor team performance against client SLAs, providing guidance and mediation plans as needed.
- Negotiate high-value/complex contracts with suppliers on behalf of clients, ensuring compliance with commercial governance.
- Develop lasting relationships with key clients/stakeholders and support broader transformation of categories.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- Proven procurement experience with successful track record in strategic sourcing.
- Category domain knowledge in areas such as Professional Services, HR Services, Technology, and more.
- Ability to interact effectively with CXO level members in client organizations and build lasting relationships.
- Proficiency in working in cross-cultural environments and collaborating collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
- Proficiency in procurement and business-related systems such as Oracle, SAP, Ariba, etc.
- Previous experience in Strategic Procurement, Change Management, or Cost Transformation Consulting roles.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing people.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications.
- Mandarin and Cantonese speaking skills are preferred.
