We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Big Data Developer to join our growing team. Your role will be critical to the success of our data-driven initiatives, where you will be responsible for building, optimizing, and supporting large-scale data processing solutions. Your expertise will lay the foundation for high-impact projects that drive business intelligence and analytics strategies for our clients across the globe.
Experience. 5 to 10 years
Required Technical Skills
- Apache Spark. Hands-on experience with Spark for big data processing and transformation.
- PySpark (Mandatory). Proficient in writing optimized PySpark code to handle large datasets.
- Hive. Strong working knowledge of Hive for querying and managing large datasets in Hadoop.
- HBase. Familiarity with HBase for NoSQL database management in big data environments.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Data Quality (DQ) Tools. Experience with any DQ tools will be an added advantage in ensuring high-quality and reliable data.
- Agile Scrum Methodology. Exposure to Agile practices, including participation in daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Data Ingestion. Prior experience with data ingestion pipelines from multiple disparate data sources into a centralized Big Data platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy robust Big Data solutions using Spark and PySpark.
- Build efficient, scalable data processing applications and optimize performance.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, and Business Analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Implement data ingestion frameworks to pull data from a wide range of structured and unstructured data sources.
- Develop complex SQL queries and integrate data through Hive tables.
- Work with HBase for handling high-volume, high-velocity data storage needs.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and ensure timely delivery of tasks within sprints.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of developed solutions to ensure quality and reliability.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in the Big Data ecosystem.
