Cloud Infrastructure and Security Engineer to work with consulting and product teams, focused building and supporting a modern cloud architecture that enables Mindcracker deliver value to our customers via projects that combine analysts, data scientists and technologists across a variety of industries to harness their data, uncover new insights, and where done right, improve and/or save lives. This position is combination of Infrastructure and Security responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Consult and guide the organization on risk and control best practices in cloud environments
- Manage cloud environments (Azure, AWS) to optimize value
- Define infrastructure network and identity standards and implement solutions. Lead in the use and adoption of standard frameworks that align with overall business and technology strategies
- Ensure customer solutions and customer data are secure and meet or exceed industry standard (e.g., CIS Top 20 standards, HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2)
- Work directly with clients providing Cloud Architecture and Security expertise
- Enable our development teams by providing cost effective cloud resources.
Key Requirements:
- Expertise in cloud architecture and security fundamentals
- Certification in cloud architecture, e.g, CISSP, CRISC, CISA, OSCP
- Good technical acumen, including automation (scripting) expertise
- Strong research and investigation skills with attention to detail
- Self managed, strong organisational and time management skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication in English.
Preferred Attributes:
- Able to commute to Wilmington DE headquarters as needed
- Have a working understanding of container security, cloud network fundamentals, high availability design, multi-cloud benefits/shortcomings, microservices, and server-less compute
- Demonstrate persistence, ability to overcome obstacles
