As an Accountant at Google, you'll be part of a dynamic team responsible for core accounting functions. You'll apply your expertise in accounting principles and processes, advising on financial reports compliant with regulatory standards. Your role involves reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to support business decisions. You'll drive efficiency improvements and contribute to global initiatives, ensuring accurate financial reporting and alignment with industry best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Experience with agreement review in the technology industry.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet technology with excellent analytical skills.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, including US GAAP.
- Ability to lead projects, meet deadlines, and remove roadblocks.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional and international teams with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end accounting processes, including reconciling balance sheets and P&L accounts.
- Conduct agreement reviews for cloud commit contracts, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 standards.
- Evaluate customer agreements, document technical assessments, and provide comprehensive evaluation reports.
- Innovate internal processes through technology, supporting development of guided contract review tools.
- Stay updated on Google products to facilitate accounting for new launches and business opportunities.
- Collaborate on cross-team initiatives to enhance process efficiencies and incorporate feedback and best practices.
