We are seeking a talented Data Engineer with expertise in designing and implementing solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data warehousing, big data, and data analytics, with proficiency in software development using languages such as Java and Python. Experience with GCP data components, including BigQuery, BigTable, CloudSQL, Dataproc, Data Flow, and Data Fusion, is essential. The candidate should demonstrate extensive skills in implementing technology projects within a professional environment, particularly in the field of data engineering. Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing solutions utilizing Google Cloud Platform data components.
• Developing software code in Java and Python for data engineering tasks.
• Leading data projects in cloud environments, specifically GCP.
• Providing expertise and guidance on data-related concepts and best practices.
• Coaching junior data engineering personnel to enhance their understanding of the data ecosystem.
• Collaborating with clients to gather requirements and advise on optimal solutions.
• Developing solution decks, intellectual property (IP), and participating in client meetings.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience and knowledge of MPP systems, database systems, ETL, and ELT systems.
• Familiarity with data flow computing technologies.
• Prior experience in developing, building, and deploying solutions on GCP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering and software development.
• Proficiency in Java and Python programming languages.
• Hands-on experience with GCP data components and cloud environments.
