Your role will involve developing firmware for end-user modules, implementing new features, maintaining compatibility with telecommunication and industry standards, and analyzing customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Implementation. Create and implement data solutions using MS Azure, DataBricks, and Azure Data Factory, ensuring high performance and scalability.
- Code Enhancement. Improve and maintain existing codebases, focusing on efficiency and reliability, and contribute to new feature implementation and system enhancements.
- CI/CD Processes. Understand and apply CI/CD processes within Azure DevOps or similar environments to ensure seamless software deployment and updates.
- Troubleshooting & Debugging. Identify and resolve process failures, software glitches, and API issues, using your knowledge of application areas and code flows.
- Data Management. Handle large-scale data wrangling, optimize SQL queries, and manage petabytes of data to enhance data retrieval and processing speeds. Collaborate on the development of new training sets for data science.
- Collaboration. Work closely with data scientists to translate conceptual data models into implementable software pipelines, ensuring effective integration.
- System Maintenance. Regularly update and maintain existing data systems and platforms, implementing minor enhancements as needed.
- Cross-functional Engagement. Facilitate collaboration between software engineering and data science teams, supporting focused modeling efforts by U.S.-based resources.
Requirements
- Education. Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Experience. 3-5 years of relevant experience in data science and software engineering, with a track record of developing high-performance data solutions and managing complex technical environments.
- Technical Skills. Proficiency in MS Azure, DataBricks, Azure Data Factory, SQL, and experience in handling large datasets. PySpark experience is preferred.
- Software Development. Solid experience in enhancing and maintaining codebases, with familiarity in software development frameworks and best practices.
- CI/CD Knowledge. Understanding of CI/CD processes, with hands-on experience in Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- Analytical Skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on efficiency and reliability in system operations.
- Collaboration. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with data scientists to bridge the gap between data models and software solutions.
- Communication. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English for cross-functional collaboration.
