Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Data Scientist at IBM, your responsibilities will include.

Proof of Concept (POC) Development. Create POCs to validate and demonstrate the effectiveness of AI solutions. Collaborate with development teams to implement and iterate on POCs, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.

Utilization of IBM Technologies. Showcase the capabilities of IBM Watsonx Assistant and IBM Watsonx Orchestrate to efficiently execute tasks.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing. Document solution architectures, design decisions, and implementation details. Contribute to technical documentation and best practice guides. Mentor new team members and facilitate internal knowledge sharing initiatives.

Industry Trends and Innovation. Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, foundation models, and large language models. Evaluate emerging technologies to assess their potential impact on solution design.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Technical Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in developing AI/ML solutions in Python.
- Proficiency in Python programming and experience with AI frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or Hugging Face.
- Experience in data preparation, engineering, and utilizing libraries such as SciKit Learn, Pandas, and Matplotlib.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and tools like GitHub.
Soft Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with AI advancements.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience in setting up web services using Flask, Django, FastAPI, etc.
- Client interaction experience and understanding of requirements.
- Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) and text analytics.
- Understanding of machine learning and deep learning algorithms.
- Exposure to open source AI libraries and AI/data governance.
- Experience in full AI project lifecycle, from prototyping to deployment.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, GCP.
