Role Overview
As a Platform Engineer or DevOps Engineer at Sensonic, you'll be instrumental in refining, developing, and operating the build, development, and production environments for our scalable software systems in the railway domain. Your responsibilities will include planning, building, and implementing infrastructure for configuration, data recording, and monitoring of sensor systems, both in-cloud and on-premises. Additionally, you'll contribute to defining the vision and roadmap for our scalable SaaS infrastructure and Enterprise software solution platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Refine, develop, and operate build, development, and production environments for scalable, distributed software systems in the railway domain.
- Plan, build, and implement infrastructure for configuration, data recording, and monitoring of sensor systems in-cloud and on-premises.
- Contribute to defining the vision and roadmap for scalable SaaS infrastructure and Enterprise software solution platform.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's or graduate degree in a technical/engineering-related program preferred.
- 4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Platform Engineer.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting in production environments.
- Experience in operations, administration, maintenance, and provisioning of Linux systems and Kubernetes clusters.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language, preferably Python.
- Knowledge of Linux system internals and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Experience with Gitlab, CI/CD, Docker, and cloud resources like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, observability, and security practices.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certifications or Linux certifications are desirable.
Personal Experience and Character
- Understanding of machine learning or AI tools like TensorFlow and OpenCV is a plus.
- General understanding of cybersecurity best practices and big data tools.
- Ability to work effectively in global, multi-cultural teams.
- Strong commitment to project schedules and delivery timelines.
- Compassionate and ethically driven mindset.
- Primarily remote with hybrid in-person work. Domestic and international travel is required.
