We are currently seeking a highly skilled Informatica Data Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative data engineering team on a 6-month contractual basis, with a strong possibility for full-time conversion. This role offers the flexibility of remote work while being rooted in Gurgaon, India.
As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-grade data integration solutions using Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS). Your work will directly impact key business decisions by enabling smooth, scalable, and efficient data pipelines that support analytics, reporting, and data science initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Data Integration Design & Development. Create, develop, and optimize robust data pipelines and integration workflows using Informatica IICS, ensuring seamless data ingestion, transformation, and delivery across multiple data platforms.
- Cloud Data Solutions. Work closely with Snowflake (preferred) or other cloud-based SQL data warehouses to support scalable data architectures and analytical data models.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders. Partner with data architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and align data solutions with evolving business objectives.
- ETL Process Optimization. Monitor and enhance existing ETL workflows to improve reliability, performance, and data quality while reducing processing time and costs.
- Issue Resolution & Support. Diagnose and troubleshoot data integration and transformation issues, proactively identifying root causes and implementing sustainable fixes.
- Documentation & Best Practices. Maintain comprehensive documentation for ETL processes, mappings, workflows, and data flows to ensure clarity, consistency, and maintainability of solutions.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Professional Experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica IICS, including the development of mappings, taskflows, and data integration pipelines.
- 2+ years working with Snowflake or other cloud-based data platforms such as Redshift, BigQuery, or Azure Synapse.
- Practical exposure to at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and familiarity with their native data tools and services.
Technical Proficiency
- Solid programming skills in Python and/or Java, especially for data manipulation and custom transformations.
- Strong SQL skills and the ability to work with large datasets and complex queries.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
- Effective communication skills and comfort in cross-functional, team-oriented work environments.
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to delivering quality work.
