As a part of the Infosys Consulting team, your role will involve contributing to various stages of project development, from identifying and diagnosing challenges to implementing effective solutions. You’ll be pivotal in guiding clients through their digital transformation journeys, leveraging your Java expertise to deliver high-quality, value-driven solutions.
As a Java Consultant, you will
- Collaborate with the Consulting Team. Support the consulting team in phases such as problem definition, effort estimation, solution design, and deployment.
- Research & Innovation. Conduct literature surveys, research public domains, evaluate vendors, and build Proof of Concepts (POCs) to identify alternative solutions to recommended approaches.
- Requirement Gathering & Design. Translate business needs into requirement specifications, defining the "to-be" processes, and developing detailed functional designs.
- Solution Configuration & Troubleshooting. Configure solution requirements, diagnose issues, determine root causes, and work with clients to select the best solution options.
- Organizational Initiatives. Contribute to unit-level and organization-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing quality and delivering value to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand and resolve business challenges, providing insights and structuring relevant data.
- Stay updated on the latest technology trends, with a strong emphasis on Java developments.
- Apply logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork to drive solutions.
- Assess and improve current processes, identifying areas where technology can add value.
What We’re Looking For
- Technical Expertise. Strong knowledge of Core Java and the broader Java ecosystem.
- Industry Knowledge. Familiarity with one or two industry domains to provide relevant, impactful solutions.
- Analytical Skills. Ability to break down complex issues, diagnose root causes, and develop clear action plans.
