As a Junior DevOps Automation Engineer at NXP, you will play an integral role in shaping the future of IT infrastructure and automation in our R&D IT Design environments. You will collaborate with other infrastructure teams to build, maintain, and enhance our Cloud and On-Premise Datacenter environments. Key Responsibilities
- Automation & Infrastructure Management. Collaborate with infrastructure teams (virtualization, storage) to manage and improve cloud and on-premise datacenter environments, enhancing efficiency and automation processes.
- Tools & Technologies. Utilize tools like Git, Ansible, Satellite, Salt, and Docker to streamline workflows. Experience with AWS and RedHat Enterprise Linux will be a significant advantage.
- Server Deployment & Management. Leverage PXE boot and other modern automation deployment techniques to quickly provision large volumes of servers, ensuring scalability and efficient management of infrastructure.
- Monitoring & Maintenance. Maintain robust hardware/cloud monitoring services using tools such as SPLUNK, AWS Tooling, or Zabbix, ensuring the reliability and performance of our datacenter environments.
- Collaboration & Documentation. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure clear communication and alignment on infrastructure goals. Keep documentation up to date to maintain transparency and process integrity.
What We’re Looking For
- Educational Qualification. A Bachelor's degree in a related field with around 2 years of relevant experience in DevOps or IT infrastructure.
- Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with Linux OS (preferably RedHat Enterprise Linux).
- Proficiency in Git, Ansible, Docker, and a familiarity with AWS.
- Experience with RedHat OpenShift or any Kubernetes-based environments will be considered a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud and datacenter monitoring tools such as SPLUNK, AWS services, or Zabbix.
- Understanding of server architecture, including the difference between a “pizza-box-server” and a “blade-server.”
- Automation Enthusiast. Strong interest in automation and application development, with an understanding of security measures for data protection, including access controls and encryption.
- Collaboration & Communication. A team player with excellent communication skills, fluent in English. An outgoing personality who enjoys connecting with people across teams.
- Attention to Detail. Commitment to maintaining up-to-date documentation for all managed services and infrastructure processes.
