As the Lead Data Engineer, you will oversee all engineering activities within the team, ensuring alignment with the company's vision. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver advanced data management and analytical systems, leveraging emerging technologies and best practices. Your role will involve mentoring team members and driving innovation in data engineering.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to manage data across the organization's data lake and warehouses.
- Lead large-scale integration projects with customer-facing digital assets to enhance data quality and accessibility.
- Collaborate with business leaders and technical teams to implement machine learning algorithms for audience intelligence and personalization.
- Work with BI and analytics teams to optimize data marts and deliver actionable insights.
- Define data models, publish metadata, and establish ETL standards to support long-term data platform goals.
Mandatory Skills
- Leadership and mentorship experience in data engineering (10+ years).
- Proficiency in designing and managing data lakes, warehouses, and downstream marts.
- Hands-on experience with the Azure ecosystem (Databricks, Data Factory, etc.).
- Familiarity with modern development practices (containerization, microservices, CI/CD).
- Strong understanding of relational databases and data processing frameworks.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Architectural experience and strong Azure expertise.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines implementation.
Education Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA).
