Key Responsibilities
- Assembler Programming. Utilize your expertise in Assembler programming language for IBM mainframes (e.g., IBM z/OS) to develop and maintain robust programs and modules.
- JCL and TSO/ISPF. Apply your knowledge of Job Control Language (JCL) and TSO/ISPF to efficiently manage and control batch jobs.
- System Familiarity. Work with IBM mainframe systems and architecture to ensure seamless integration and performance.
- Batch Processing. Understand and implement batch processing and job scheduling concepts to maintain system efficiency.
- Testing and Debugging. Conduct unit testing, system integration testing, and apply debugging techniques to ensure program reliability and performance.
- Technical Documentation. Create and maintain detailed technical documentation and specifications for program changes and enhancements.
- Problem-Solving. Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues to provide effective and timely solutions.
- Team Collaboration. Work effectively both in a team environment and independently to achieve project goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in Assembler Programming. Strong proficiency in Assembler programming language specifically for IBM mainframes.
- JCL and TSO/ISPF Knowledge. Experience with Job Control Language (JCL) and TSO/ISPF.
- IBM Mainframe Systems. Familiarity with IBM mainframe systems and architecture.
- Batch Processing Knowledge. Understanding of batch processing and job scheduling concepts.
- Testing and Debugging. Experience in unit testing, system integration testing, and debugging techniques.
