As a Technical Test Lead at Infosys, you will be pivotal in developing and executing test strategies and plans based on project requirements. You will lead test execution and defect management, and play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining automation frameworks. Your leadership will guide your team and you will contribute to creating innovative QA solutions and proposals for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Strategy & Planning. Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans tailored to project requirements.
- Test Execution & Defect Management. Lead the execution of tests, manage defects, and ensure effective resolution.
- Automation Frameworks. Implement and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber, Rest Assured, and other tools.
- Mentorship. Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- QA Solutions. Contribute to creating solutions and approaches for QA proposals, addressing client needs effectively.
- Team Leadership. Efficiently lead and manage a team of automation testers, including coordinating efforts in an onshore/offshore model.
Skill and Experience Requirements
- Educational Qualifications. Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in IT/Computer Science or a related discipline. Alternatively, three years of progressive experience in the specialty can be considered in lieu of each year of education.
- Experience. 6-10 years of experience in Information Technology with a focus on automation and testing.
Must-Have Skills
- UI & API Automation. Strong experience in UI and API automation using Selenium (Java), Rest Assured, and Postman. Ability to develop and maintain automation frameworks and tools.
- Mobile Applications. Proficient in mobile application automation using Appium, Headspin, and Selenium (Java).
- Automation Frameworks. Experience in creating robust, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks.
- BDD/TDD. Skilled in Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD) using tools like Cucumber, Serenity, and Playwright-BDD.
- Programming & Scripting. Experience with programming languages and scripting (e.g., Java, J2EE, PL/SQL, Perl, Shell, Python).
- Code Coverage. Knowledge of code coverage tools such as Jacoco, JSCover, and Sonar.
- Build & CI/CD Tools. Experience with build automation tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo).
- Version Control & Project Management. Proficiency with code version control tools (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket) and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM, Rally).
- Team Management. Ability to lead a geographically distributed team of automation testers and build effective working relationships across various organizational levels.
- Communication. Strong communication skills and experience in stakeholder management.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Quality Engineering Trends. Knowledge of latest trends in Quality Engineering, including RPA, analytics-driven testing, and AI/ML in QA.
- GenAI Tools. Familiarity with GenAI tools like GitHub Copilot and their adoption within enterprises.
- Mobile Automation Solutions. Experience with mobile automation solutions like UFT Mobile.
