We are looking for a skilled MySQL Database Administrator to join our delivery team at Infosys. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring effective design, development, validation, and support activities to meet our clients' technology requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Utilize your knowledge of MySQL architecture to design, configure, and maintain MySQL databases.
- Must have experience with MySQL GTID replication Master slave and troubleshooting.
- Perform query tuning and troubleshooting to optimize database performance.
- Upgrade MySQL databases and perform necessary configurations.
- Install and configure MySQL on Linux platforms.
- Understand MySQL backup and recovery processes, with experience in 'backup' as an added advantage.
- Monitor databases and systems for performance and reliability, with experience in 'MySQL enterprise monitor' being an added advantage.
- Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
- Prepare root cause analysis (RCA) reports and contribute to change management processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into system requirements.
- Estimate project work requirements and provide accurate project estimations to Technology Leads and Project Managers.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
- Handle team management responsibilities, including roster preparation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of MySQL versions (5.7.X and 8.0.x) and engines such as InnoDB and MyISAM.
- Proficiency in Linux Shell Scripting.
- Experience in providing 24x7 support for critical production systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in preparing root cause analysis (RCA) reports.
- Familiarity with change management processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a rapidly changing environment.
- Experience with Oracle DB and MS SQL will be considered an advantage.
- Experience in managing teams of 10+ members and handling stakeholder relationships.
