Primary Role
This role will manage all aspects of the change and release processes for the SAP solution landscape. This person will be a critical member of American Water’s SAP Center of Excellence within the Technology and Innovation business unit. They will be responsible for planning and facilitating all changes within the SAP environment and maintaining a proactive and structured deployment process. They will also provide input and feedback in regards to SAP requirements to the Enterprise change management standards and
procedures.
Knowledge
- Strong understanding of SAP ALM and Operations methodologies in an environment using SAP Solution Manager and ChaRM.
- Expert knowledge of ITIL standards for change and release management.
- Understanding of Sox and related compliance requirements for SAP changes.
- Understanding of change management tools (e.g. Remedy).

- Strong verbal and written communication skills for a wide variety of audiences including proven ability to deliver conference presentations.

- Should be skilled in the definition of processes and procedures for maintaining a multi-track development landscape.
- Should be able to lead and coordinate Go-Live activities including deployment plans.
- Should be able to identify, resolve, or escalate any potential issues that would impact release activities.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with virtual teams.
- Ability to work flexible hours and over the weekend as needed to facilitate change and release activities.

Experience
- 7 to 10 years of experience with SAP applications.
- 3 years of experience managing/facilitating SAP changes.
- SAP IS-Utilities experience preferred.
Education
BS /MS in Computer Science , Computer Applications , Information Technology , Engineering or MBA
or with strong academic background.
Licenses & Certifications
Relevant SAP and ITIL Certification will be a big plus.
