HTC Global Services is seeking a skilled Database Programmer with over 5 years of experience specializing in MS-SQL database programming. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining SQL databases to support our enterprise data needs. This role requires a highly analytical individual with deep expertise in SQL programming, data modeling, and optimization to ensure efficient and scalable database solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain MS-SQL databases, ensuring high levels of performance and availability.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot PL/SQL & T-SQL code for triggers, stored procedures, views, and other database components.
- Develop complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
- Perform data modeling, normalization, and database design to support application requirements and business logic.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate data from multiple sources and optimize the performance of existing database systems.
- Document database designs, processes, and configurations to ensure compliance and share knowledge across teams.
- Optimize SQL queries to enhance performance and scalability in high-demand environments.
- Provide troubleshooting, support, and tuning for database-related issues.
- Assist in the development and implementation of best practices for database management.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in MS-SQL database programming and management.
- Proven experience with SQL Server, including a deep understanding of T-SQL and PL/SQL.
- Strong knowledge of database design principles, data modeling, and normalization techniques.
- Expertise in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries and joining data from relational databases.
- Experience with data integration from multiple sources into SQL databases, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
- Familiarity with Informatica is a plus.
- Knowledge of Oracle databases or any other database systems is a strong advantage.
- Certification in database programming or relevant technologies is preferred.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies, especially Scrum, is a plus.
