Job Description

Enterprise Technology Infrastructure, Platforms & Services (ETIPS) is spearheading the modernization efforts of UnitedHealth Group's legacy and on-premises landscape through a strategic migration to the cloud. This transformation aims to enhance flexibility and stability for end-users. As the custodian of the ETIPS technology portfolio, we are seeking a strategic partnership to co-deliver and accelerate our innovative agenda. The selected vendor will provide technology services for Core Technology components.

Responsibilities

  • Review requirements and/or systems analysis documents for completeness.
  • Create or contribute to documented designs adhering to agreed design patterns and standards.
  • Provide support to the QA team during testing, including defect fixes, code deployment, and clarifications.
  • Collaborate with the Deployment Lead and peer developers to complete various project deployment activities.
  • Adhere to proper usage of source control systems.
  • Ensure timely delivery of technical artifacts for each project.
  • Mentor developers on technology and application knowledge as required.

Skills

Must-Have

  • Extensive experience in Java and J2EE technologies (8+ years).
  • Strong proficiency in Angular JS and UI design.
  • Good knowledge of HTML5 and CSS development.
  • Proficient in Java programming (JDK11 or higher).
  • Thorough understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) concepts.
  • Proficient in developing applications using Spring Core, Spring JDBC, Rest Web services, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and MySQL DB.
  • Strong working knowledge of SPRING, IOC, AOP, and Transaction Management.
  • Experience in web services, including Restful and Soap.
  • Familiarity with Subversion and Maven (preferred).
  • Capable of executing Unit Testing (Plan, Prepare & Execute).
  • Sound knowledge of SDLC processes.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with Aerospike is preferred.
  • Prior experience with Managed File Transfer is advantageous.
