Join Google Payments team as a Senior Software Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of payment technologies. You will be involved in creating seamless, secure payment experiences, from online transactions to in-store payments and Google Pay app functionalities. Responsibilities
- Code Development. Write, test, and deploy code for both front-end and back-end systems, contributing to the development of innovative payment solutions.
- Design Reviews. Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to choose the best technologies and approaches.
- Code Review. Review and provide feedback on code from other developers to ensure adherence to best practices, including style guidelines, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Documentation. Contribute to and maintain documentation and educational content, updating based on product changes and user feedback.
- Issue Resolution. Triage and debug system issues, analyzing their sources and impacts on hardware, network, or service quality.
Qualifications
- Education. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, including Java, Python, GO, and/or C++.
- 3 years of experience with full-stack development, including front-end technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS) and back-end systems.
- 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining, and launching software products.
- 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education. Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Experience
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience in developing accessible technologies.
