Key Responsibilities
- Technical Expertise. Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in SAP BW, encompassing both backend and frontend functionalities. This includes extensive knowledge of Query Designer (BEx and Eclipse) for creating complex reports and analysis.
- Data Modeling and Development. Utilize your experience in creating and optimizing DataStore Objects (DSO), InfoCubes, and Data Transfer Processes (DTP) to design efficient data models that support business requirements.
- ETL Process Management. Oversee the end-to-end Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) process, including the creation of data extractors and the development of process chains for automated data integration and transformation.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting. Take ownership of monitoring daily jobs and process chains to ensure smooth data flow within the SAP BW environment. Proactively troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise to minimize downtime and maintain data integrity.
- Reporting and Analytics. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable insights through effective BW reporting. Support other analytical tools by providing well-structured BW datasets for analysis.
- Domain Knowledge. Possess a strong understanding of business processes, particularly within logistics, finance, and controlling modules in ECC 6.0. Leverage this knowledge to align BW solutions with organizational goals effectively.
- ETL Planning Experience. Experience in planning processes within BW, including BW-Integrated Planning (BW-IP), Planning Applications Kit (PAK), and Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), to facilitate strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of [X] years of hands-on experience as a SAP BW Consultant, with a proven track record of successful project implementations.
- Proficiency in SAP ECC 6.0 modules, particularly in logistics, finance, and controlling.
