As a UX Design Manager at Google, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of user experience across our products. With a focus on user-centric design principles, you'll lead a talented team of designers, researchers, writers, content strategists, program managers, and engineers to create innovative and intuitive experiences for our users. Your expertise will guide product strategy, conceptualize UX ecosystems, and inspire teams to push the boundaries of design.

Responsibilities

1. Influence Stakeholders. Advocate for design strategies across organizations and gain support from stakeholders.
2. Lead Design Innovation. Drive the development of innovative design solutions that address user, product, and business needs.
3. Holistic Design Ownership. Manage the development and implementation of holistic design processes, systems, or languages across teams or products.
4. Continuous Improvement. Use UX testing and stakeholder input to iterate on design improvements, ensuring alignment with product goals.
5. Project Prioritization. Manage project priorities, allocate resources effectively, and align teams to deliver on design project objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in product design or UX.
• 5 years of experience leading design projects and managing people or teams.
• 3 years of experience working with executive leaders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience working in a cross-functional organization.
• Portfolio showcasing multiple projects and direct contributions to design.
