Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize the Shopify store's backend infrastructure
- Integrate and maintain third-party apps, APIs, and services to enhance store functionality
- Collaborate with the front-end development team for seamless integration
- Write clean, well-documented, and scalable code, adhering to best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve backend-related issues for maximum uptime and performance
- Continuously research and implement new technologies and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members as needed
This Role Requires
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of backend development experience, with a focus on Shopify and e-commerce platforms
- Expertise in server-side languages like Ruby on Rails, Python, or Node.js
- In-depth knowledge of Shopify's Liquid template language, API, and app ecosystem
- Proficiency in database management, using PostgreSQL or other relational databases
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
