We are seeking a seasoned IT Leader to spearhead our Engineering and IT initiatives, providing advanced solutions and driving technical excellence. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing IT infrastructures, architecture, and cloud-based solutions, and will demonstrate exceptional relationship management skills. This role is crucial for overseeing IT operations, collaborating with global IT teams, and ensuring seamless communication and resolution during major outages.

Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure Management
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructures, including local and global networks, hardware, virtual environments, software systems, and cloud solutions.
- Assess and optimize the local site’s IT setup to ensure seamless integration with the global IT environment.
- Oversee projects through all phases, from initiation to rollout, providing technical guidance and support to ensure successful project completion and operational efficiency.
Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary liaison between Engineering, IT, and vendors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Strategize with IT teams on solution feasibility and conceptual design.
- Foster strong relationships with multi-functional teams to facilitate project success and address technical requirements.
Technical Expertise
- Architect solutions for large-scale global enterprises, ensuring technical integrity and quality.
- Leverage expertise in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix), cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), and microservices.
- Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skills in both Windows and Linux environments.
Hands-On Experience
- Manage Linux environments including Suse Linux, Redhat Linux, CentOS, and Ubuntu.
- Oversee HPC cluster management and virtual machines.
- Administer Windows server environments (2012/2016/2019).
Working Knowledge
- Utilize virtualization technologies such as VMware, Nutanix, KVM, and Xen.
- Manage cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and orchestrate containerization with tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement automation with Terraform, and manage CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Chef, and Ansible.
- Write and deploy scripts in Ansible and Python for automation.
- Oversee IT application architecture, AD, DFS, NFS, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP Networking, and VPN.
Project Management (Plus)
- Apply project management skills including core planning, scheduling, purchasing, and logistics to ensure project success.
