Job Description

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at Adobe, you will be part of our End to End (E2E) team, dedicated to ensuring the highest quality for the Adobe Cloud platform. You will play a crucial role in verifying that new features function as intended, meet non-functional requirements, and perform effectively under various conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Code Development. Write and maintain scalable and efficient Java code to support the continuous development of features within the Adobe Cloud ecosystem.
  2. Testing Frameworks. Develop and implement testing frameworks and tools using technologies such as TestNG and JUnit to automate testing processes.
  3. Quality Assurance. Analyze and enhance the quality of the platform by identifying potential issues and creating robust testing strategies that address deep edge cases.
  4. Collaboration. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to ensure that features are designed with quality in mind and meet user expectations.
  5. Architectural Understanding. Leverage your knowledge of modern software architectures, including load balancing, queueing, caching, and failure modes in distributed systems, to inform testing strategies.
  6. Documentation. Document test cases, results, and defect reports while ensuring comprehensive coverage and adherence to best practices in testing methodologies.

Qualifications

  1. Education. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  2. Experience. 2+ years of experience in software development, testing, or automation, with a strong focus on Java.
  3. Technical Skills. Deep expertise in Java, data structures, and familiarity with testing frameworks such as TestNG and JUnit.
  4. Software Architecture. Understanding of modern software and systems architectures, including their design and potential failure modes.
  5. Teamwork. Proven experience working effectively in teams, managing project coordination, and demonstrating initiative in problem-solving.
