As a Software Engineer within Google's Technical Infrastructure team, you will develop and maintain the foundational architecture that powers Google's products and services. From data center management to building cutting-edge platforms, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Code Development. Write high-quality, efficient code for product and system development using C++.
- Design Collaboration. Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to evaluate and select the most suitable technologies for solving complex problems.
- Code Review. Review code contributed by other developers, providing constructive feedback to ensure adherence to best practices, including style guidelines, code efficiency, and testability.
- Documentation and Education. Contribute to existing documentation and educational materials, updating content as needed based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Issue Resolution. Triage and debug product or system issues, identifying and resolving them by analyzing their sources and impact on hardware, network, or service operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in C++.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in an academic or industry setting.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- 2 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks.
- Experience with computing technologies, storage, and/or hardware architecture.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
