As a Software Engineer III on the Google Pixel team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Pixel devices and services. You will work on cutting-edge mobile technologies and contribute to the development of world-class smartphones and transformative user experiences. This position involves designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions for Pixel devices.
Responsibilities
- Write high-quality product or system development code.
- Review code from other engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices, style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
- Triage and debug product or system issues by analyzing their sources and impacts on hardware, network, or service operations.
- Contribute to documentation and educational content, adapting it based on updates and user feedback.
- Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to evaluate and select the most suitable technologies.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables effectively.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in software development with one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in a relevant field.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in an academic or industry setting.
- 2 years of experience in Android application development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 2 years of experience with performance optimization, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, and/or debugging.
- Experience in developing accessible technologies.
- Proficiency in code and system health diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.
Additional Information
- Salary Information. The US base salary range for this position is $136,000 - $200,000, with additional bonus, equity, and benefits. Specific pay is determined based on location, skills, experience, and education.
