As part of Visa’s Technology Organization, you’ll be at the forefront of reshaping commerce through complex problem-solving and innovation. You will work with a sophisticated processing network that handles over 65,000 secure transactions per second. This role involves collaborating with a cross-functional development team to tackle challenges in payment flows, data solutions, cybersecurity, and B2C platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review technical documentation, code, and implementation plans.
- Analyze the impact of custom changes on system stability and functionality.
- Ensure code quality and compliance with industry standards and device compatibility.
- Collaborate with management and development teams to prioritize needs and resolve conflicts.
- Create and validate test routines to ensure accurate simulation of external interfaces.
- Lead design reviews and mentor junior team members, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Proactively identify and isolate software defects to minimize customer impact.
- Foster partnerships with product management to ensure value delivery in products developed.
- Address issues highlighted by testing or customer feedback and implement necessary corrections.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
- 11+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or
- 8+ years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Master’s, MBA, JD, MD), or
- 6+ years of experience with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 11+ years of experience in Connex/eFunds software.
- Strong knowledge of HP Nonstop systems and Connex Architecture.
- Proven experience as a Connex developer or in a similar role.
- Proficient in programming languages such as TAL, C, COBOL, SCOBOL, and TACL on the HP Nonstop platform.
- Familiarity with HP Nonstop tools (e.g., FUP, SCUP, Pathway) and TCP/IP programming.
- Good understanding of ISO8583 message formats.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with strong communication abilities.
- Experience with the full systems development lifecycle in a Connex/HPE Nonstop environment.
- Background in fraud prevention and risk management within financial services, preferably using tools like Falcon or Featurespace.
- Knowledge of financial industry regulations and practices.
