Key Responsibilities
- Designing, documenting, and implementing new systems and enhancements in alignment with design specifications and Java best practices.
- Proficiency in backend technologies including databases, APIs, and frontend UI development.
- Delivering high-quality, defect-free code while meeting or exceeding business expectations.
- Proactively identifying opportunities for product innovation and process improvements.
- Independently developing software that adheres to Visa's standards of security, quality, and compliance.
- Coordinating Continuous Integration activities and contributing to core product code.
- Providing support to test engineers and operation teams in issue resolution and troubleshooting.
- Communicating project status, issues, and risks effectively and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field with 4-6 years of experience as a Java developer.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD).
Technical Skills
- Full-stack proficiency with technologies such as Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Angular, JavaScript, NoSQL, Maven, etc.
- Expertise in front-end technologies including JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, and frameworks like ReactJS, Angular, jQuery, etc.
- Knowledge of multiple backend languages (e.g., C#, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Node.js).
- Experience with databases (e.g., MongoDB), web servers (e.g., Apache), and UI/UX design.
- Proficiency in agile development methodologies and tools like GIT, Maven, Jenkins.
- Ability to create wireframes and responsive designs for optimal user experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
