As a Senior SDET, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will lead test automation efforts, develop robust testing frameworks, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in our software development processes.
Responsibilities
Test Automation Leadership
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated test suites using Selenium, Java, and other industry-standard tools.
- Drive the adoption of best practices and automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and enhance test automation frameworks using TestNG, BDD, and Cucumber to facilitate scalable and maintainable testing solutions.
- Implement automation solutions that seamlessly integrate with our CI/CD pipelines to support agile development practices.
- Conduct thorough API testing using automation tools and coding knowledge, with a focus on Core Java and API testing frameworks.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage of APIs to validate functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Apply expertise in Core Java concepts, including object-oriented programming, string handling, collection frameworks, and multithreading, to maintain the integrity and quality of test automation code.
- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to identify, prioritize, and address quality issues throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance overall software quality.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives
- Actively participate in knowledge sharing sessions, code reviews, and process improvement initiatives to foster a culture of learning and innovation.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and testing trends to continually enhance your skills and contribute to the growth of the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience in software testing and test automation, with a focus on Selenium, Java, and automation frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in Core Java, with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
- Solid understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, particularly in test automation and API testing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.
