Embark on a rewarding journey as an IT SOX Auditor with Visa's Global SOX Team, based in Bangalore. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in evaluating the efficacy of IT controls design and executing tests to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations. Collaborating closely with the Director – IT SOX and our esteemed Global SOX team members, you will primarily focus on scrutinizing the IT aspects of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, encompassing the review of control design documentation, testing matrices, and internal control frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of walkthrough documentation and perform tests of effectiveness by scrutinizing supporting documents and engaging with control owners.
- Lead IT controls meetings, fostering collaboration between control owners, external auditors, and SOX team members.
- Document test results meticulously in Visa's work papers template for review by SOX team members and external auditors.
- Engage with management to evaluate control exceptions, keeping control owners and the SOX team abreast of identified issues and assisting IT teams in developing Management Action Plans to mitigate risks.
- Demonstrate exceptional written and oral communication skills during interactions with control owners and IT teams.
- Contribute significantly to the planning and execution of the annual SOX program for IT controls, serving as a key member of the SOX team.
- Provide valuable insights and expertise on the COSO and IT SOX internal control frameworks to management and the SOX team.
- Foster strong relationships with external auditors, effectively managing control matters and related issues on a day-to-day basis.
Qualifications
Professional
- Possess prior experience in SOX, audit, or risk management, with a focus on IT controls.
- Demonstrated proficiency with over 7 years of IT experience.
- Strong background in audit, IT controls, compliance, and risk management, particularly within the financial services or payments industry.
Technical
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in a business discipline, preferably with CISA certification.
- Exhibit sound general IT knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
Business
- Showcase strong problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record in identifying and resolving issues and risks.
- Demonstrate foresight in establishing standards and controls, along with the capability to recommend effective solutions.
- Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, capable of driving impactful change across all organizational levels.
- Display meticulous attention to detail, coupled with a strong sense of responsibility and dedication to teamwork.
