As a part of the Compute Infrastructure organization, you will be instrumental in shaping LinkedIn's next-generation compute infrastructure. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting Internet-scale features that define our platform's capabilities. The ideal candidate will thrive on the challenge of creating dynamic client-side interfaces using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, delivering fast and scalable products for our next-gen compute platform.
Responsibilities
- Own front-end development for one or more products, collaborating with engineers and product owners to launch new UI functionalities and enhance existing features.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from discovery to deployment and support.
- Serve as the technical lead for UI design and development within the Compute Infra org in Bangalore, conducting technical design reviews and approvals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across teams to understand compute management experiences, translate them into UX requirements, and develop technical solutions.
- Mentor and upskill junior team members in UI/UX and Full Stack Development as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- I have 8+ years of hands-on experience using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript to build modern, scalable web experiences.
- Experience in software design, development, and troubleshooting in production environments.
- Proficiency in Unit, Integration, and Visual Testing with modern front-end frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Comprehensive understanding of browser quirks and remedies.
- Proficient in writing clean, unobtrusive JavaScript and debugging tools.
- Knowledge of current trends, best practices, and design patterns in front-end architecture, including performance, accessibility, and usability.
- 2+ years of technical leadership experience with a front-end or Full Stack Development team.
- Familiarity with command-line applications, source control, testing frameworks, and other aspects of developing in large, distributed software teams.
- Ability and enthusiasm to develop progressive single-page applications using frameworks like React, Ember, Angular, or Backbone.
- Experience designing front-end elements and mock-ups using tools like Figma.
- Proficient in defining and measuring KPIs and success metrics for front-end applications.
