As a Strategic Development Partner Manager on Google's Payments Partnership team, you'll play a pivotal role in building and managing relationships with financial institutions, fintechs, and payment providers across the EMEA region. Your expertise in negotiations, strategy development, and partnership management will be instrumental in enabling reliable, cost-efficient, and secure commerce experiences across all Google products.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven experience managing negotiations with Financial Institutions/Fintechs/Payment Providers for payment services enablement.
- Strong background in providing recommendations and strategies for payment acceptance or e-commerce within the EMEA region.
- Demonstrated experience in managing partnerships, including performance management and executive-level escalations.
- Familiarity with technical, operational, and regulatory requirements in payment acceptance flows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience evaluating complex business and technical requirements for new opportunities and assessing impacts on cross-functional teams.
- Prior work experience in e-commerce, managing providers for identity verification, fraud services, and payment processing.
- Familiarity with operating rules, regulations, and contracting terms related to payment acceptance processes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving team environment and influence product strategy through partnerships.
- Excellent presentation skills to effectively advocate for Google both internally and externally.
Responsibilities
- This section includes the Lead Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), and agreements for partner selection.
- Manage partner relationships, providing payment processing and ancillary services, and resolving complex escalations.
- Drive partner improvements based on performance metrics, assessments, and industry trends.
- Define and execute partner strategies aligned with Google's product roadmap and industry trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a holistic partnership strategy.
