As a Test Engineer at Wipro, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality and reliability of products, platforms, or solutions before they are deployed to clients. You will design and execute comprehensive test plans, automate test processes, and collaborate with development teams to meet high-quality assurance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Case Design. Understand test requirements and design effective test cases that align with business and technical specifications.
- Test Planning. Author and develop test plans based on business requirements and corresponding testable criteria. Ensure thorough test coverage.
- Model-Based Testing. Implement Wipro’s model-based testing methodologies to enhance the efficiency of test generation and execution.
- Peer Review. Ensure test cases are reviewed by peers to minimize rework and ensure quality.
- Collaboration. Work closely with development teams to capture and define test cases. Manage versions and configurations for consistent testing.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Define testing criteria, parameters, scope, and participate in UAT to validate solutions against user requirements.
- Automation. Design and execute automation frameworks for testing, including test environment setup, test plan development, and automation of test cases using tools like VB macros and GUI automation.
- Defect Management. Detect, document, and report bugs. Provide clear defect reports and track progress against project or program norms.
- Reporting. Create and deliver test status dashboards and reports at the end of each test cycle to stakeholders. Ensure accurate updates in test management repositories and trackers.
- Customer Interaction. Maintain high-quality communication with clients, addressing requests and providing support as needed. Ensure timely and accurate deliveries, including Weekly Status Reports (WSRs) and test execution reports.
- Feedback and Improvement. Provide feedback on usability and serviceability, trace results to quality risks, and report them to relevant stakeholders.
