As a Transportation Specialist fluent in Japanese, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring timely pick-up and delivery of freight, resolving issues efficiently, and maintaining clear communication channels with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Japanese Language Proficiency. Utilize your fluency in Japanese, both written and verbal, to facilitate communication between various stakeholders, including carriers, vendors/suppliers, and internal teams across different geographies.
- Data Analysis and Reporting. Extract data from multiple databases using tools like Excel, Access, SQL, etc., to generate reports and perform ad hoc analysis. Understand performance metrics to drive business results and propose process improvements.
- Business Requirements and Decision Making. Collaborate with Amazon technology teams to define business and functional requirements for software systems used by NOC. Make informed decisions based on data analysis and escalate issues as necessary to ensure timely resolutions.
- Dynamic Environment. Work effectively in a fast-paced, 24*7 operating environment, meeting critical business needs while maintaining high standards of performance and communication.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- JLPT N3 or equivalent
- Proficiency in Japanese language
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- JLPT N2 or equivalent
- Logistics background and lean/six sigma training
- 12-24 months of work experience
