Google User Experience (UX) team comprises diverse specialists, including UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers. We are deeply committed to understanding our users' needs, attitudes, emotions, and behaviors to inform and inspire design decisions. Working collaboratively with engineering and product management, we strive to create industry-leading products that deliver value to both users and Google's businesses.
Minimum Qualifications
- 4 years of experience integrating user research into product designs and design practices.
- Experience with SQL.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase.
- Excellent people management, communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end UX Research foundational and tactical mixed-method research studies, including usability testing, surveys, interviews, card sorting, field studies, A/B testing, and data analysis.
- Gather and analyze quantitative data to uncover meaningful insights and trends that inform product development and business strategies.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional conversations to define ambiguous areas of research and elicit a shared understanding of research findings, e.g., persona development, journey mapping, and strategic workshops.
- Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and validate human-product interaction.
- Support UX research team members through collaborative design and feedback to improve the design and execution of research studies. Provide (and receive) support from others to contribute to the team's overall success.
